Role Overview

The Managing Director (MD) will be responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, and driving business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management consulting, business strategy, and leadership.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, industry expertise, and the ability to scale a new business while ensuring financial sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision, mission, and growth plans.
• Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive advantages.
• Lead strategic decision-making, ensuring business growth and long-term success.

2. Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Establish and expand client relationships with businesses, executives, and key decision-makers.
• Develop a strong sales pipeline and revenue streams through networking, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

3. Operational & Financial Management

• Oversee the day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality service delivery.
• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasting, and profitability strategies.
• Implement robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.

4. Team Building & Leadership

• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing consulting team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the organisation.
• Provide strong leadership to drive employee engagement and productivity.

5. Brand Building & Market Positioning

• Establish brand credibility and thought leadership in the management consulting industry.
• Develop and oversee marketing and business promotion strategies.
• Ensure the company maintains a strong online and offline presence to attract clients.

Key Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in management consulting, business strategy, project management, business analyst or a related field.
• Proven track record of business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
• Experience in scaling a startup business or leading a consulting firm is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies
